Born in India, Pritika grew up in New Delhi.cite-ref-8[8]cite-ref-nos-9-0[9] In 1999, she moved to the United States.cite-ref-auto-10-0[10]

Pritika attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Art.cite-ref-dawn-11-0[11] She continued her study at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Studio arts and a Master of Arts (MA) in Visual Culture and Gender studies.cite-ref-indianexp-12-0[12]

Between 2009 and 2011, she was a visiting professor and taught at Macalester College and College of Visual Arts.cite-ref-auto-10-1[10]cite-ref-indianexp-12-1[12]

In 2007, she founded the Partition Anti-Memorial Project.cite-ref-indianexp-12-2[12] The project consists of nine sub-projects focusing on historical events, including the 1947 Partition of India, 1971 Bangladesh War of Independence, and the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.cite-ref-13[13]cite-ref-14[14] Her work has been exhibited at notable museums and arts galleries such as Queens Museum, Weisman Art Museum, Hunterdon Art Museum, Minnesota Museum of American Art, Sanskriti Museum & Art Gallery, and Islip Art Museum.cite-ref-indianexp-12-3[12]cite-ref-15[15]
